Low Beam Out
My poor old sigma GJ seems to be having a run of minor failures lately.
Today its the L.H.S low beam lamp (outer unit) that has given up the ghost .
Of course the service manual bears no tear down resemblance on what is actually there.
Wiring schematic shows 3 connections to the lamp - so there are 2 filaments in the lamp.
I always thought that the high beam was just the inner lamp unit and low beam was just the outer lamp unit. But high beam causes both lamp units to "light up".
Anyone know if the halogen bulb is just a standard H4 unit?
And how to replace it?
I ask because on these old cars you really don't want to dismantle anything you don't need to.
